OpenCouncil Claimed

OpenCouncil demystifies local government and enables active citizen participation. They're starting at the municipal level in Greece: they transcribe and organize city council meetings using AI, making them simple and understandable. They turn 8-hour long meetings into automatically generated fair and objective AI podcasts, TikToks and Reels and share them on social media. They also send out personalized WhatsApp messages informing citizens about city council topics that concern their own street & neighborhood, and enable zero-friction participatory democracy through social media and IM apps. Three months in, OpenCouncil already has significant traction: Citizens and councillors are using it, and municipalities are buying it. They're about to sign agreements with 5 municipalities in Greece, including Athens - the birthplace of democracy itself and Greece's largest city.
