MobiSAM
MobiSAM (Mobile Social Accountability and Monitoring) is a mobile application and web, Whatsapp and Facebook platform that connects Grahamstown/Makana residents in the Eastern Cape to their local municipality.
The platform receives reports from citizens and MobiSAM then passes the reports to the Makana Municipality. MobiSAM has four status features which are OPEN, ASSIGNED, RESOLVED, and CLOSED. MobiSAM has received 993(+/-) since its launch in March 2017. Unfortunately the RESOLVED status feature has proven ineffective as only about 14% of the 993 reports have been resolved and only less than 3% of the resolved reports were closed. Closed indicates that the citizens are happy with the service delivery action given to a report.
