Mobile Information Literacy Project

They are a center for multidisciplinary research, currently focusing on data equity, essential skills for digital life, women and technology, civic engagement, new geographies of knowledge, and public libraries. They are particularly interested in people and places that face social, economic, and political barriers. The project developed an information literacy curriculum focused on mobile users in Myanmar, currently also piloting a version in Kenya. TASCHA is an applied research center that advances knowledge and creates public resources for improving policy and practice. In particular, they co-create research programs with organizations and donors committed to achieving positive social change. Their work has helped international organizations, governments, foundations, civil society organizations, and public libraries in the United States and more than 50 countries.
