Wazimap

Wazimap is a Web platform that provides storytellers and campaigners with populations and financial figures which are broken down by categories of elections, demographics, service delivery, economics and education in order to add context and depth to stories or cause.

Developed by OpenUp in 2013 as a spatial data portal, Wazimap has sparked the birth of as many as three distinct communities. These are driven by shared goals and interests, and by making use of - or in some cases even emulating - Wazimap, have been able to grow and flourish."
