The Midwest Newsroom
The Midwest Newsroom is a partnership among Iowa Public Radio, KCUR in Kansas City, Nebraska Public Media News, St. Louis Public Radio and NPR.
The partnership was formed in 2021 out of an identified need for more investigative journalism on complex and compelling issues within our four-state region. Our collaborative approach delivers impactful, in-depth stories on issues affecting Midwesterners, sheds light on problems and holds those responsible to account, and highlights stories of progress and solutions that otherwise go unreported.
