The Cost of Shutdown Tool (COST)
a data-driven online tool that to allows us to quickly and easily estimate the economic cost of Internet disruptions
The tool can calculate what the economic loss is by country and service eg if Facebook were shutdown in Pakistan for three days. The tool empowers activists, journalists and policy officials to be more creative in how to affect change around censorship and shutdowns.
