Spinoza

The Spinoza project initially aims to create a tool for journalists based on generative artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance media coverage of climate change and ecological transition, all while relying on reliable sources.

The aim of the Spinoza project is to develop a collaborative generative AI tool bringing together journalists and the media. More than 12 media entities are taking part in this pilot project, the only one of its kind in the world. This tool is made up of five databases selected by the media, and uses a generative algorithm configured by journalists to select and restore complex, reliable and sourced information, and thus support them in their work of documenting and producing quality information. The five databases are composed as follows: a database of IPBES IPCC reports, a database of legal texts, a database of documentation from French public bodies, a database of French regional and national daily press, and a database of AFP content, including fact-checking articles.

RSF is an independent NGO, recognized as actively working towards the public interest since 1995, which promotes press freedom worldwide and defends the right of citizens to access independent, pluralistic and reliable information. It has consultative status with the United Nations, UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF). The Alliance is the professional organization representing the general news press in France.
