Our Mission: MyParliament exists to bridge the gap between Canadian citizens and their government. We believe democracy works best when people can easily access, understand, and engage with parliamentary data. In 2025, government data remains fragmented, difficult to navigate, and inaccessible to everyday Canadians. We're changing that.

The Problem We're Solving: Canadian parliamentary information is publicly available, but it's scattered across multiple government websites, buried in dense PDFs, and presented in formats that require significant time and expertise to navigate. This creates barriers that prevent most Canadians from meaningfully engaging with their democracy. The result? Citizens feel disconnected from the decisions that affect their lives, and representatives miss valuable feedback from the communities they serve.

Our Solution MyParliament transforms complex parliamentary data into an intuitive, engaging platform that empowers Canadians to:

Stay Informed - Track bills, votes, and statements from federal and provincial representatives Engage Directly - Connect with local MPs and MPPs, share opinions, and participate in community discussions Understand Impact - Analyze federal budgets and see how legislative changes affect real people Track Changes - Compare bill amendments side-by-side with our GitHub-style diff checker Make Your Voice Heard - Vote on bills, react to statements, and contribute to informed political discourse

Our Journey: MyParliament began as an idea years ago, born from frustration with the state of government transparency in Canada. Development started in earnest around 2020-2021, and for several years we worked as a closed project, refining our vision and building the infrastructure needed to handle the complexity of Canadian parliamentary data.

In 2024, we opened our doors to the public. Since then, we've seen steady growth as more Canadians discover the platform and realize they can finally participate in democracy without needing a political science degree.

Our Impact: We're seeing a growing number of users who rely on MyParliament to:

  • Stay connected with their local representatives
  • Make informed decisions about legislation that affects their communities
  • Participate in meaningful political discussions
  • Hold their elected officials accountable
  • Feel empowered to engage with government processes

But we're just getting started. Every day, more Canadians join the platform and discover they can be active participants in their democracy.

Notable Features:

  • Federal & Provincial Coverage
  • Comprehensive data from both levels of government, all in one place.
  • Bill Amendment Tracker See exactly what changed in bills with our intuitive diff viewer - like GitHub for legislation.
  • Federal Budget Analyzer Break down complex budget documents into understandable insights.
  • Representative Statements Access full Hansard records and statements from MPs and MPPs, searchable and organized.
  • Community Engagement Vote on bills, comment on statements, and participate in discussions with fellow Canadians.
