As of January 2026 - ground reporting across multiple Indian cities has shown cases of municipal tap water contamination leading to illness and hospitalisation. These issues are often highly local and remain invisible until they escalate into a wider crisis.
As a small, non-commercial civic effort, I’ve built Citizen Signal — a public platform where residents of India can anonymously report how municipal tap water looks and smells, before treatment (RO, filters, boiling). The goal is to make local patterns visible early, based on citizen observations.
This is not a lab-testing service or a government initiative. It’s a public visibility signal that journalists, researchers, and communities can observe.
